TO SEND YOUR MESSAGE SUCCUSFULLY, YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT NON-VERBAL CUMMUNICATION IS:

Human beings are able to communicate in a variety of ways besides the use of words. This type of communication is referred to as non-verbal communication and includes eye contact, facial expressions, gestures, posture, space & distance, vocal qualities, and appearance.

A large percentage (studies suggest over 90%) of the meaning we derive from communication, we derive from the non-verbal cues that the other person gives. Often a person says one thing but communicates something totally different through vocal intonation and body language. Mixed messages create tension and distrust because the voter senses that you are hiding something or is being less than candid so you need to make sure that your messages are not mixed but direct!

Dr. Albert Mehrabian, an American communications researcher, studied the moment by moment effect of a speaker's visual impact in relation to their words and voice.

A speaker's effect on an audience stems from:

Verbal messages (what is said-words)                                                      7%

Vocal messages (how it is said- tone of voice)                                         38%

 Nonverbal messages (face/gestures “non-verbal clues” -visual)             55%

                                                                                                            100 %

As it has been proved by the researches too, If you are running for office, you need to learn the nonverbal communication!

So what is Nonverbal Communication?

Nonverbal communication is talking without speaking a word. It is very effective, maybe even more so than actual words.

Remember the saying, “Actions speak louder than words.”
Over 65%-90% of every conversation is interpreted through body language and includes facial expression, eye movement, posture, and gestures (source).  We react more to what we think a person meant than to the words that are said. So you need to think about whether your body language matches the words you are saying.

If a person tells you, “You are doing a great job,” with a big smile on their face and a relaxed body, you will probably believe them.

On the other hand, if a person says “You are doing a great job,” and their teeth are gritted, they have a half smile and a stiff body, you will be confused as to what they really mean.

Body language is one of the best communication tools you have so you have to learn how to relay it and read it effectively. So you can reach out to the voters !
